Welcome, and thank you for visiting our new website for Our Parish Community of Holy Name of Mary, St. Charles Borromeo & St. Vincent de Paul Churches. We hope that our website provides helpful information regarding weekend & weekday masses, our bulletin, Sacramental information, upcoming Parish events as well as other additional information which maybe useful to our website visitors.

Mission Statement 

We, the Parish Family of Holy Name of Mary, St. Charles Borromeo & St. Vincent de Paul Churches, believe that our Mission as faithful Roman Catholics is to present the Image or Our Lord to all that he brings to us in this life.

 In doing so, we are answering the call, placed before us through the Sacrament of Baptism, to be Missionary Disciples of Christ in this community and as a result assist others in developing a personal relationship with Our Loving and Merciful God.

FORMED 

You may have heard of FORMED before.  It is a Catholic streaming service that has lots of Catholic movies, documentaries, talks, resources to better understand the faith, children’s shows, lives of the saints, etc.  There is no cost All you need to do is create an account to log in to start watching lots of great content. 

1. Go to:  formed.org 

2. Click on “Sign up as a parishioner” 

3. When it says “Find your Parish or Organization” enter: “Holy Name of Mary” and one of the options will be “Holy Name of Mary 7288 Old Highway 2 Marysville ON”.  Click on that one and then click “Next” 

4.     Follow the prompts to set up your account.

Confession Times 

Confession schedule:   

- On Saturday evenings starting at 4:30pm, in the Confessional at Saint Vincent de Paul Church  

- On Sunday mornings starting at 8:15am, in the Confessional at Holy Name of Mary Church 

- In the sacristy 30 minutes before each weekday Mass. 

If you would like to go to Confession but these times do not work for you, please call the office

Marysville CWL BBQ & Fall Event - Saturday September 16th's event was a success!  Many members of our parishes and our community showed up to enjoy the sunshine, BBQ, and the sales!  Thanks to everyone who sold raffle tickets; came Saturday Sep. 9th for cleanup and prepping the tables; came Friday Sep. 15th for setup of inside tables and pricing goods for sale. Thanks to our many volunteers on Saturday Sept 16th, to set up the tents & tables at 7 am; all those who worked at the event and those who helped with the dismantle, packing of unsold items and cleanup inside and out!  Thanks to all of the donors in our parish, as well as our community sponsors.  It was great to see so many people come and visit, get a good deal, and a good meal, all well helping to raise money for local charities.  A special thanks to the Organizing Committee 2023.

Helping Hands Food Bank - At present the food bank could use Pudding cups, fruit cups/or canned fruit, canned meat, canned pasta/Zoodles. For your convenience there are envelopes at the back of our three churches for anyone wishing to make a financial donations to the food bank. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.  

 

The Church of the Redeemer, 155 St. George St., Deseronto is hosting a Hymn Sing on Saturday, September 30th. at 2:00 P.M.  The Quinte Grace singers will be performing along with other musicians and soloists. There will be a free will offering and light refreshments will be served afterwards. All donations will be benefiting the Helping Hands food bank.

 

Upcoming Blood Donation Event – Monday, Oct. 16, 3pm – 7pm, Tyendinaga Recreation Complex, 363 McFarlane Rd, Shannonville.

 

Belleville Life Chain on Sunday, October 1. from 2 - 3 p.m.  We will gather in quiet prayer in opposition to abortion, emphasizing the importance of all life  from conception until natural death.  The location will be in BELLEVILLE  on DUNDAS  St. W. and MARY St.  (towards the Norris Whitney Bridge)  For further information please contact Life Chain Coordinator, Roy @ (613) 968-9602).

 

Life Chain at St. Patrick’s Parish, 179 West Street, Napanee -Sunday, October 1, after 9a.m. Mass,  (10:00 am-11:00 am) Center Street from Thomas Street to Bridge Street. Inside the church if weather is inclement.  All parishioners are invited to spend this hour of SILENT PRAYER for the “Sanctity of Life”.  Bring a folding chair and water if necessary.  We will meet in our parking lot in front of the Parish Centre after Mass to pick up signs and for a blessing!

 

A Truth and Reconciliation prayer service at Holy Rosary Church on Sept. 30.  It is 10 to 11:30, Elizabeth Reynolds from Tyendinega is presenting.

 

Pastoral Care Workshops from the Archdiocese of Kingston - This workshop would assist parishes that are looking to start a pastoral care team. It can also be useful for those parishes that already have an existing team and would like a review and update. St. Patrick’s Cemetery Mass - Saturday, September 30; 1:00 pm, St. Patrick’s Cemetery (2014 Keeley Road, Sydenham, ON)  A cemetery Mass is being held in memory of our deceased family members. Please bring a lawn chair to the cemetery. Refreshments are provided at the Bryne Parish Centre (beside the Church) following the Mass. If you require further information please contact, the parish office at 613-376-6695. 

 

Secular Franciscan meeting -  October 5, after the 5:30 pm Mass at Holy Rosary Church.  We will be celebrating the Transitus, the passing from death to life of St Francis of Assisi. All are welcome!

 

 Diocese of Ontario First annual Celebration for Parish Green Groups – Supported by Justice and Peace Commission - Saturday, September 23; 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, Christ Church Cataraqui (990 Sydenham Road, Kingston ON).  Plant-based pot luck lunch, worship and conversation. Monthly Meeting for Secular Franciscan Order - St. John the Apostle Parish Hall (88 Patrick Street, Kingston, ON).  First Thursday of the month 7pm; Next meeting: Oct. 5.  The Secular Franciscan Order (OFS) is a branch of the worldwide Franciscan Family.  We are single and married women & men.  We work, worship, & play in the community where we live.  Everyone invited, join us to share Franciscan spirituality.  Usually, we gather on the first Thursday of the month.  More info, please call JC Trottier at 613-531-2708 or Friar Ed at (613)546-6900 ext. 204.

  

St. Barnaby’s Parish, Brewers Mills Cemetery Mass - Sun., Oct, 8; 9:00 am.  Our regular Sunday Mass will take place outdoors in our cemetery on Sunday, October 8 at 9a.m. Everyone is invited.  Please bring your lawn chairs. In case of inclement weather Mass will take place inside the church.

 

 Harvest Bake Sale - Saturday, October 14; 9am – 12 Noon.  St. Patrick’s Church Hall (179 West St. Napanee; Thomas St. Entrance).  You are invited to our Harvest Sale. Enjoy treats such as homemade pies, butter tarts, cookies, muffins and more; morning coffee and grand draw tickets.

 

 Women’s Fall Retreat 2023 14th Annual Women’s Fall Retreat - Saturday, October 21, 9:00 am-3:30 pm.  Holy Cross Church, 503 Clothier St., Kemptville, ON.  Miriam Wright, a well-known speaker, will encourage us to respond wholeheartedly to the call of Jesus, the Bridegroom: “Arise, My Beloved, Come!” (Song of “Songs 2:10), so that we may come to love as we are loved. The Kingston Archdiocesan Council of Development & Peace - Caritas Canada - Cordially invites you to attend The Fall Campaign Workshop At St. Paul the Apostle Parish Hall, 1111 Taylor Kidd Blvd, Kingston, Ontario K7M 8G8, On Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, 1:30pm - 3pm.

 Faith on Fire Prayer Weekly Prayer Meetings - The “Faith on Fire” Prayer meetings have resumed on Tuesday evenings and continue weekly from 7:00 – 8:30 pm on Zoom.
